Hello everyone!!!

It has been a long six months of waiting, but YAHOO.....it finally came!!! Yep, yep...Brett and I are officially married as of June 18th and ohhhhh......he is sooooooo wonderful! We had a delightful day and were married in the beautiful Draper Temple!!! He was such a sweet heart all day long....he had to even fix my hair a couple times for the pictures (oh so tender:) I just never knew how great marriage could be and it has only been just a couple of days! Seriously, he treats me like a princess, respects my views and on top of that he is so good looking.....yah....hot!!! Oh

did I mention he is a wonderful Dad and Father figure! What more could a women wish for.....

the temple was fabulous....such a beautiful place that Draper temple!!! The matrons were so cute and they made me feel so special too. They just kept telling me I was a beautiful bride and they didn't forget to tell me how handsome my honey was....is!!!! If they only knew...he's not only handsome but beautiful all the way through!!!

Check it out!!! This is my engagement band. Isn't it just breathtaking....absolutely and completely beautiful!!! My sweetheart has two more pieces picked to complete the ring, but it is a surprise!!! I can't wait to see it all put together! Brett, I totally and completely love it!!!

P.S. This ring is named after my beautiful sister Cambria (literally)! No wonder it is so beautiful!! I love you Cam!!! Thanks for helping us get such a priceless ring!!!

My Story!!!

Who would have ever thought 5 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days latter I would say "Yes" to the man of my DrEaMs, literally the man in my dreams!!! Seems crazy, but NO way.....it's perfect! Friday, December 12th 2008 Brett and I headed up to RJ & Sharee's 5th annual Christmas Party! We had a small trip up to Pocatello, but it was so good....it felt like I hadn't seen him FoReVeR.....we talked mucho grande....it was so nice! I had made Cambria's famous artichoke dip and Brett had the white elephant we were to bring for the party....we were totally like....like....ya know organized couples doing the date night thing! Wow....that was nice too!!! Anyway, when we got to the party LaChere my sis wasn't going to come due some other family plans and in the middle of all the craziness surprised the two of us and showed up....yahoo!! As for the rest of the party animals, they seemed well aware that Brett and I weren't married....it made it nice and relaxing!! We ate, talked and headed down stairs for the real craziness to begin!

Yeah, the white elephant exchange was the highlight of the party....We had been told of all the unexpected gifts that had been wrapped-up in the past....very nutty things!!! We were also told that some friends have opted to not come anymore due to all those CRAZY gifts.....so you can imagine how Brett and I were feeling about joining in the games....YiKeS!!!! So Brett insisted that he would pick the present and I was to open the present.......my thoughts.....noway.....you open the darn present.....I don't want to unwrap something weird!!! All though I protested I knew Brett would insist I open what ever package he picked....ahhhh!!!

The first packaged picked from John's bro looked like a winner....it was a nice package neatly wrapped, but as he walked back to his seat the crowd went silent......dead silent.....strange I thought! I assumed the silence was in anticipation of what the package would bring.....and I suppose the silence was due to partly that! He unwrapped the gift, opened the box, and found another box. He then proceeded to open a smaller sparkly purple box and inside this small box was a black velvet box and I thought to myself....hey, that's the box I need!!! As he opened the black box, I could see a silver sparkly ring from across the room. My thoughts, "Is that my ring????" Just as I turned to look at Brett, the man's wife grabbed the small black box from her husband and snapped the box shut as she abruptly laid the box in her lap. My bewildered face gazed into Brett's face looking for some sort of reaction, but there was nothing. His big blank "what" face stared back at me.....hummmm!! Still confused......I was! Three other white elephant gifts were unwrapped and then it was our turn. Brett walked across the room to take the black box and it was then I knew!!!!!!!!!!!

He came over to me and knelt on one knee....haha....hehe.....YAY!!!! His first words, "This didn't go as planned.......I LOVE YOU......Will you MaRrY me?!" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was told I never did say....I just bobbed my head up and down continuously with a big old cheeser!!!!

Oh, then I laid one on him....kiss kiss!! Gotta love that man!!!!!

So that is my story.....I'm getting married.....married.....yes that's what I said......married!! To the man in my dreams!!! The man of my dreams....Brett Myers! It is nice to have a name to a dream! Well babe, you'll have to tell your end of our engagement story since it didn't' go as planned!!! But here's to you babe....CHEERS!!!! I sure do love you and I am so glad you asked me to marry you. RJ what is it now 4 for 4 or 3 for 3?! Oh Hey, LaChere & Randy thanks for moving to Pocatello and meeting RJ & Sharee, RJ & Sharee thanks for showing Brett the sisters on film, and thanks Doolittles for black vinyl pants...cha-ching!!

The BLIND date that almost didn't happen!

It was back in July when I went up to visit my sister up in Pocatello for the 4th of July! I was single and my divorce had only been final for a couple of weeks. I felt awkward and a bit out of place (it is strange how a divorce can do that to you). My sister LaChere couldn't have been a better friend she kept me so busy up in Pocatello that there wasn't time to think which helped me tremendously! While the Kids and I were up, we spent some time with some mutual friends who had a great idea to set me up on a blind date. Yikes, I wasn't sure what dating would bring. Really, I thought it would take months before I ever jumped into the dating seen. Well, RJ asked his buddy Brett about coming up to meet me, but he wasn't interested. But RJ was persistent and kept bugging his friend Brett to take me out. A couple more weeks had come and gone. By then LaChere and a few other friends, had encouraged me to try dating and so I went on my first date. Yes, the date was a blind one; however, it wasn't with Brett. Mean while, Brett still wasn't interested in going on a BLIND date with me. For what ever reason, RJ kept on Brett. Finally, Brett agreed to go on a blind date that RJ set up, but it wasn't with ME (I know what a stinker....setting him up with some other chic). Bad and good for me, that blind date didn't go so well so of course Brett was a little skeptical to go out on another blind one. RJ kept talking me up (good job RJ). He even showed a video clip of the sisters dancing. I guess seeing is believing and after that it didn't take him long to agree to make some arrangements to meet with me, but he didn't call. I was told we were going to meet up, but.......he never called! By then, I felt like chopped liver. First off, my ex was practically engaged, my first date didn't call me back, and second the date I was to go on for the weekend hadn't called me at all......Yes, I felt like chopped liver, but I just kept saying, "I'm not chopped liver....I'm not chopped liver!!!!" Anyway, I told my brother-in-law, Randy, that Brett hadn't called, Randy told RJ, and RJ told Brett he'd better get me called! And so the call finally came and boy.....it was a disaster!!!



RJ had talked me up sooooo much that Brett was actually a little nervous.....(he was stuttering on the phone....haha....hehe!!). I didn't help matters because I was on one....ya know a little sarcastic....so he took all my funnies seriously. To top it off, his phone hung up on me so I razzed him some more. Needless to say, he wasn't looking forward to our date! The craziness doesn't end there.....his plans for the date totally fell through due to RJ and Randy. Yeah, they ditched us so Brett had to call me a third time to rearrange plans. The third call was much different from the first he was very business like....confident.....laid out the details with a simple good bye! Then I got all nervous....I guess you could say I was unsure how the date would go.....I thought....this could be very interesting!!!!



When he came to the door I was surprised he was blond....he was very handsome...in fact he was just right! He seemed to have a small town country boy in him (I could tell by his walk), but when I found out he didn't like country music I thought I was way off! But, I was right...he comes from a small town so that explains his walk....and boy do I like that country boy walk!!! (Brett, very cute walk by the way!!!) On our first date, he picked me up at 4:00pm...I suppose it was plan A (pick me up early and take me home early), but plan A soon phased into plan B...I do believe I got home pretty late......around midnight...not quite, but close! Anyway, the date went well. He was such a gentleman, and it was soooo nice to be treated soooo well (He didn't admit it for a while, but I knew he was diggin' me...haha..hehe!!!)....I still didn't know how things would go because he lived in Cache Valley...he had his kids which he is very involved with and so......I thought.....that was fun.....don't know what will come of it.....but if he asks me out again, I'd be obliged!!!!



Yeah, he didn't call me for a week which was probably good (he kept it smooth)!!! In the back of my mind I still thought he's diggin' me even though he hadn't called (I know I'm a nerd)!!! I kept dating other people because I didn't want to rush into liking one person exclusively. In reality, I knew my Brett was the one for me (he just felt so right)!!! So five months later.....I'm glad I went on the date that almost didn't happen!!
